Milestones Community Healthcare, Inc. would like to congratulate Tom Fonseca, employee of the month for December.

Tom Fonseca of Home has been named the Employee of the Month for December at Milestones Community Healthcare, Inc. Tom works as a Master’s Level Therapist for the Extra Miles for Families program. Tom has been with Milestones for over five years. Dana Monroe, VP/COO states, “Tom has been working for Milestones for many years now and has always proven to be an exemplary employee. His positive attitude and friendly smile are welcoming to those that know him well or just meet him. He is the ultimate team player and has a strong desire to help those he serves.
He is a fantastic employee!” When asked what he enjoys most about his role at Milestones, Tom says he enjoys working with families and their different issues. “It is extremely satisfying to see them grow and acquire skills to solve issues they have struggled with. It has been a learning experience for me to work with such a great agency.”

Joe Eveges, the director of the Extra Miles for Families program, comments that, “Tom is a consummate professional whose wisdom and life experiences are wonderful assets to the Extra Mile for Families Program. His insight into difficult situations and ability to provide proper perspective give him the ability to relate to and provide support to the people he serves. Tom also provides charismatic leadership to his teammates and is respected by everybody who works with him. It is a pleasure to have Tom working here at Milestones!” Tom has been called to be a guest speaker in the sociology program at IUP. He is a member of the Promise Keepers at Indiana. When asked what has helped him to become the outstanding employee that he is, Tom states, “I credit this to the fine leadership we all enjoy at Milestones and the Extra Miles for Families Program.”

This holiday season the Indiana division employees collaborated with the Salvation Army and “adopted” a family for the holiday season.  All employees out of all four offices participated and helped to provide for a family of five who were in need of items like gloves, food and a variety of other things.  In addition, the staff contributed a large sum of money for the family to purchase the items for a holiday meal of their desire.

The employees agreed this year that they were not going to buy for one another, but rather put their money into something that made a difference in their communities.  The response was overwhelming by the staff, they had so much fun buying and giving that it was truly something to feel good about this holiday season.  Overall the employees enjoyed the experience and were excited to participate and felt a great sense of joy from their giving. 

As the Vice President of the Indiana division I was so pleased with the turn out and the excitement that all employees had with this new endeavor.  I feel very grateful that I am in the company of very generous and caring people who demonstrate these qualities not only on the job, but when it comes to their personal lives too.  Congratulations to all of my employees for their efforts in this project!

Milestones Community Healthcare, Inc. would like to congratulate Suzanne McFall, employee of the month for November.

Suzanne McFall of DuBois has been named Employee of the Month for November at Milestones Community Healthcare, Inc. Suzanne works as a Therapeutic Staff Support in the Behavioral Health Wraparound Program. She has been working at Milestones since October 2005. Clinical Coordinator, Bridgett Kurtz, comments that, “Ms. McFall has shown herself to be a dedicated and enthusiastic employee through the course of her time here with Milestones.

Suzanne displays qualities of skill with behavioral management techniques, coupled with care and empathy in her work with children and families. I am proud to have Ms. McFall as a member of the Milestones’ team and congratulate her as November’s Employee of the Month!”

Dana Monroe, VP/COO, says that, “Suzanne has shown her ability to work effectively within any environment that she is assigned; she has demonstrated good decision making skills and is a role model for others. I have been thoroughly impressed by her professionalism, and I am thrilled she is part of the Milestones team.”

When asked about her role here at Milestones, Suzanne responded that she enjoys being a part of a team that works together in helping kids succeed in their homes, schools and communities. Suzanne commented that, “Milestones provides its employees with many training opportunities and support for its staff. I find being a good employee is a reflection on how you are treated by the employer.”

In her spare time, Suzanne is a member of the handbell choir at her church. She also serves on the Paint and Play School Board of Directors.  Milestones Community Healthcare Inc. provides emotional and behavioral health services to children and families in local communities.   Greg Gallup, of Dubois, has been selected as the September employee of the month at Milestones Community Healthcare, Inc. Greg has been working at Milestones for 18 months and serves as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant.
  Bridgett Kurtz, clinical coordinator states that, “Greg has been working at Milestones for over a year and his service to the agency has proven to be of exceptional quality and deserves merit. Mr. Gallup has shown great care and consistency in terms of the service he provides to clients and families. His sincere concern for the welfare of the children and families under his care and the quality of service he provides are the reasons for his selection as Milestones’ September Employee of the Month. Congratulations!”
  When asked what he enjoys most about his role at Milestones, Greg states that he enjoys the interaction with the children. “I believe that we can be the difference maker if we apply ourselves and let the children know we care. I am happy that my supervisor is pleased with my job performance. I care about the children that I work with and I want to see them succeed.”
  In his spare time Greg likes outdoor activities such as hiking and white water rafting. Things along that line are enjoyable to him. He also volunteers his time by helping with activities in an assisted living home.
